The Scholarship Committee

Alumni volunteers help administer and strengthen the Vance Richards Memorial Scholarship, recognizing brothers who show steady service, character, and quiet leadership.

• Invite nominations. Help brothers understand the scholarship and encourage thoughtful nominations.
• Review with care. Consider service, leadership, perseverance, and financial need under the scholarship’s criteria, and disclose any conflicts of interest.
• Work with the Foundation. Coordinate award recommendations, documentation, and eligible distributions.
• Carry the program forward. Help with communication, stewardship, and continuity for future volunteers.

Plan for approximately a two-year commitment, with activity concentrated around the award cycle. We’ll explain the current schedule and responsibilities before you commit.
